Wow what a talent! I never tried other mediums than oil. You made me feel like creating one again

I loved doing this one, it was difficult to transport this sentiment and look. Oh there are so many ways to express yourself through art, you should try each one and find out which fits you and using which makes you the happiest, which one is the right to fit a theme and and and …. Great do so and enjoy the process of creation

I still prefer oil yuki acrylic is flat and i never tried it.

acrylic has his own character.. it is smoother than oil and one can do differnt things with it… I love oil because of the long tradition and history of painting that comes with it and the texture… but one needs lot of room to dry them, store them, 8-12 month to let it dry before applying the fnish and that is so chemical today, you’re not allowed to breathe it in, the last I don’t like so much about oil…but the texture is exceptional

My fine arts graduate cousin said acrylic is flat and that she likes oil better. I remember it took 3-4 days for my paintings to dry complete with varnish. But you know, i need not apply varnish when my painting is too bright in color.

Hm yes, I think varnish is a possibility… But dust, light and so on can change the colours… I love using bright and dark together and do a lot of effect so it is important to me…

For me a poem is a timeless art.

            1. yayuki

Absolutely… do you have a favourite poem, or poet? Or maybe just a favourite topic, I am told very often that a topic is catching in poetry much more than a poet or form…

    I like it Yuki
the eyes are really well done and show emotional anguish. the mouth shows concern. she is pretty.
    What is she thinking????

Thank you, Jake… eyes are very important, they hold the life of a face… if the painter fails to capture the eyes the whole painting is lifeless… that is one of the aspects why Oscar Wilde used to have Basil capture Dorian’s soul in a painting, beause the finishing touch of a face is always the eyes

Those eyes were really difficult and the most important in the whole pic of course…. eyes and lips are incredible difficult if you want a certain something
